Jordan "Jay" Adams to Commentate Showdown Fights XI in Utah May 10

Tampa, FL – May 9, 2013 – Utah's leading MMA event is back with another stellar event – Showdown Fights XI.  Tomorrow night, May 10th you won't want to miss the action packed event featuring Showdown's Lightweight Champion Justin Buchholz as he faces grappling ace Gordon "The Flash" Bell.   Emmy award winning host and MMA personality Jordan "Jay" Adams will round out the commentating team for the upcoming fight event. Adams will join Johnny Ritchie and MMA fighter Tandi Schaeffer to call the action.
"Showdown Fights always puts on an entertaining event and this show is no exception.  The event is stacked with compelling fights and I'm thrilled to be cage side with Showdown again." stated Adams
The main event promises to be exciting from start to finish.   Buchholz is coming off an impressive TKO victory over David Castillo, last August. Bell defeated Sean Powers with a ruthless knee-bar that same night. Bell has been victorious in nine out of his last ten fights and looks to improve to (10-1). A win over Buchholz will write Bell a ticket to the "Big Show." Buchholz, a seasoned veteran in the sport, has fought in the UFC and coached on "The Ultimate Fighter" is in no hurry to give up that Lightweight Title.
The Co-main event looks to be just as promising when tough rising star "Filthy" Phil Dace, squares off against the undefeated Jason South in a welterweight battle.  Dace looks to continue his march to "Big Show" with a win over South, who many claim to be the best at 170 pounds in the state of Utah.  For South, a win will put him at "the magical" (10-0) and prove he is a serious threat no matter what organization he fights for.  Both are men driven to bring home the win, and that can only mean one thing...three rounds of non-stop action.
Former BYU football star, Jan Jorgensen, will make his return to the Showdown round cage against the young and promising Kip Ramos.  Ramos will look to hand Jorgensen his first loss. Jorgensen will look to continue his dominance in the heavyweight class, and a win will move him up on the world scout rankings for the heavyweight division.
Also on the card will be fan favorite Jarome "The Hatchet" Hatch will facing off against Sidiah Parker. King of the Cage veteran Nick "LeatherFace" Rossborough will also make his Showdown Fights debut, after a 3-year absence from fighting in Utah against Gladiator Challenge Light Heavyweight Champion, Lucas Taber, and the always-entertaining Brandon "The Murderer" Melendez will square off with Idaho's own Colton Vaughn.
In the Featherweight division, Mike Gahan looks to improve on his perfect record of 5-0 against striking standout Eduardo Rivera in what could be a potential "Fight of the Night". Also look for Showdown Fights newcomer, Adam "Twilight" Nijem, younger brother to TUF alum, Ramsey Nijem, will look to continue the family success in his second amateur fight.  10 Fights in total, Get your tickets at all SmithTix locations or at For more information or VIP tickets go to
